Hi, I’m Katelyn Plonski,
a children’s book author, passionate full-time RVer wife, and mom with a background in Elementary Education K-8.

My husband and I have been traveling full time for 6 years.

We have lived in 12 states and one island (St. Croix).

24 and Debt FREE! Lots of people wonder how we do it… NEVER LIVE ABOVE YOUR MEANS. We may have more money now than when we started at 17 but we still act as broke as we were then. There was a point when my husband and I spent ALL OUR MONEY on a $4,000 RV. We pulled into our new workamping job with $27.00 in our names combined… including the random change in the RV. Had we made a wrong turn and needed to get gas we probably wouldn’t have made it. We worked our booties off and ate top ramen for the entire summer. If anyone offered to feed us… we were there! That’s how we met a Power lineman and his wife. They cooked us steak on a Tuesday. Lance and I knew immediately we wanted to be able to eat steak on Tuesday’s. So… we worked our booties off again. I worked 2 jobs while going to school online to pay for us to survive, as Lance went to Lineman school. When we could afford a new to us RV, we upgraded. And then again we traded our RV and truck for the truck we have now. We bought our current RV and paid it off within the first 8 months. We live relatively cheap, I always use coupons and discounts, we shop at Walmart, thrift stores are a girls best friend, and I am NOT ASHAMED. As far as school, I transferred 3 times to follow scholarships. I once got paid 2,500 a semester to go to school! I paid for my entire degree without ever taking a loan. Does anyone care or even ask if I went to community college? (No)

Is this lifestyle cheaper than living in a house… it sure can be but it can also be pricey! It’s up to you how you live your life.
